[ ITINERARY ]

The Rolling Hostel (‘Hotel on Wheels’) is an unique experience that takes you to one of the most inspiring and bohemian cities within central Chile; Valparaiso.
Surrounded by beautiful hills, and dotted with neighbourhoods crammed with houses, the port is a reminder to visitors of the commercial and cultural significance of Valparaiso prior to the construction of the Panama Canal. Many artists (such as the poet Pablo Neruda) were inspired by the city’s vibrant spirit.

Leave the city behind and enjoy a breathtaking walk in the most beautiful national park of central Chile; La Campana. Protected under the red list of the IUCN of vulnerable species (International Union for the Conservation of Nature) the park is home to the unique and exotic mix of Mediterranean shrubs (Matrorral) and endemic Chilean palms.

1. Santiago – Valparaiso – La Campana NP After the pick-up between 8:00 and 9:00 am from your hostel we head to the port city of Valparaiso to visit some typically Chilean places of interest and enjoy a lunch at the market. In the afternoon, the Rolling Hostel will make its way to La Campana National Park where we will have a dinner around the campire, well away from the noise of everyday urban life.
2. La Campana NP – Santiago   After the breakfast, we begin our walk through centuries-old palm forests. During the half-day walk we explore endemic Mediterranean ecosystems. The lunch is provided during the walk. After we have finished our hike we head back Santiago, and take you to your hostal around 7:00 - 8:00 pm.
